ABOUT US

In 1993, eighteen professional investigators from various insurance companies in the Puget Sound area came together to address the growing issue of insurance fraud.  That group formed a local chapter of the International Association of Special Investigation Units and the chapter was named the PUGET SOUND SPECIAL INVESTIGATORS ASSOCIATION (PSSI).

Since that time, our organization has grown to include members from law enforcement, the National Insurance Crime Bureau, and representatives of the Special Investigations Unit of the State of Washington Office of Insurance.

We are actively engaged in the fight against insurance fraud and work to reduce the impact this crime has on our citizens.  In addition, it is our goal to educate the public about the issue of insurance fraud in all its forms, including identity theft and medical provider fraud.
